While Jenny’s three older brothers–Josiah, Eli, and Caleb–work in the woods and at their family’s sawmill on Puget Sound, she and her two other brothers–Micah (one year older) and Gideon (three years younger) find danger and adventure in the ruggled forests and on the waters of this frontier world.

The first book in this new series explores the trouble that lands on Jenny when her spotted horse, Raindrop, takes to wandering Tacoma’s streets, violating the new ordinance. Later, real trouble looms in the never-ending rains and rising Puyallup River. A landslide and a logjam give the three explorers more adventure than even they were expecting.
